Company description

A leading manufacturer within the global automotive group. For many years, the company has been developing its own enterprise management systems. Many systems were also purchased from external vendors. The company operates an extensive machine park including lathes, milling machines, production halls and warehouses.

Problem

• Proprietary processes and procedures supporting production, developed over years, modelled in Excel files and numerous disconnected applications acquired throughout the company's growth
• No automatic data flow between various production-support systems and the ERP
• Risk of data loss or accidental modification
• Significant lack of functionality across many systems in multiple functional areas
• An ERP system deployed to manage the production process — no integration with other production-support systems; data exchange needed for more accurate production cost estimation
• High costs of customising the ERP system in selected areas where the company wants to retain its long-established optimal business processes
• Need to implement several mobile applications integrated into a single system, covering production control, quality control and employee management

• A web-based application handling all required processes and functionality via a browser, accessible without installation or licences on all computers and mobile devices
